Colonial Marines RPG now on Sourceforge
by: crystalattice - May 17, 2006
For those following the Colonial Marines Role Playing Game, I just received approval today from Sourceforge for "sponsorship". The main site for the Colonial Marines RPG will still be www.colonialmarinesrpg.com. The Sourceforge site can be found at https://sourceforge.net/projects/cmrpg. Having the project on Sourceforge will now let contributing developers to use the CVS/Subversion servers for program file storage and checkout; I will be moving over the Python modules I've created so far to the Subversion server later this week. In addition to the ones already on the CMRPG site, I have 4-5 others that I created in the last few weeks that will also be put up this week. For those not familiar with Sourceforge, there are also services for bug tracking, support and feature requests, dedicated forums, and mailing lists. I will implement these features as needed or by request. As should be obvious by now, there won't be much available on the Sourceforge site until I'm able to figure out how to setup everything and get things configured "just right". I'll keep everyone up to date via GIDForums for ease of access. If you're interested in becoming a contributor for the game (anything from programming and testing to graphics and mentoring), contact a project administrator.
